Circa 1995, Agent All-Black was a big black spraycan portrait of
a bloke called David Rogers artfully outlined by Zina Kaye.
He was one of many agents that formed a virtual audience for
a strange thing called
Fantasy Lounges The Lost Airport of the Parallel Universe.
In 1996 Agent All-Black popped off the wall and became an
experimental collective identity structure which allowed
a group of artists to work together towards building
a CU-see-me elevator event called
Liftworld.
Agent All-Black went on to get into all kinds of trouble, including
staging rocketry happenings, and trying its hand at touring around
Australia on a machine called Foldback.
Agent All-Black Ltd was formed in 1998 so that Agent All-Black
could get on with the serious business of building interactive airplanes.
She/he/it/they/them are sometimes one person, and sometimes many.
If AAB had a mandate, it would be to provide mysterious, strange
and above all dynamic experiences to people like us because its a fun
thing to do.
